When your content will not fit on a folded sheet, you need a bound booklet.
Greenlea Print produces booklets from 8 to 100+ pages in A4, A5 and custom sizes, with saddle stitched, perfect bound or wiro bound finishing.
Runs start at 1 copy, so there is not requirement or a minimum order. However, keep in mind, the more copies you print, the more cost effective the job will be per booklet.
Binding Options
Saddle stitched. Folded and stapled through the spine. Best for 8 to 64 pages, the most economical option, and the usual choice for programs, newsletters and short catalogues.
Perfect bound. Pages glued into a square spine like a paperback. Suits 40 pages and up, and gives you a printable spine.
Wiro bound. Metal spiral binding that lets the booklet lie flat. Ideal for manuals, workbooks and anything used while working.
Padded books. Most suitable for notebooks, promotional shopping lists and as order books. They come with a hard cardboard backing.
How Many Pages Can I Have?
Booklets are made from folded sheets and each sheet produces four pages. That is why page counts always come in multiples of four: 8, 12, 16, 20 and so on.
The count includes the cover. A 16 page booklet means 16 sides in total, front cover through to back cover.
If your content lands on an awkward number we will help you either tighten it down or add a page that earns its place, such as contact details, an index or a notes page.
Saddle stitched: 8 to 64 pages works best. Past that the fold starts to bulk out.
Perfect bound: from around 40 pages, where there is enough bulk to form a spine.
Wiro bound: almost any page count, and it lies flat.

Artwork & File Setup
Every booklet gets a free artwork check and an emailed proof before it goes to print.
- Supply single pages in reading order, not as spreads. We impose the pages for printing.
- Include 2mm bleed on all edges
- Keep text at least 5mm from the trim, and further from the spine on perfect bound jobs
- Images at 300dpi at final size
- Total page count in a multiple of four, including the cover
For perfect bound booklets the spine width depends on your page count and stock. Tell us both and we will send you the exact spine measurement for your cover artwork.

What is the minimum order?
There is no minimum, we can do only one book if you require it.
Which binding should I choose?
Saddle stitch for most jobs under 64 pages and it is the most economical. Perfect binding when you want a square printable spine or you are past 40 pages. Wiro when the booklet needs to lie flat while someone works from it.
Can the cover be a different stock?
Yes. A heavier laminated cover on a lighter text stock is the usual combination and it makes a booklet feel far more substantial.
How long does printing take?
Allow 5+ working days after artwork approval. Perfect bound jobs take longer than saddle stitched because the glue needs to cure.
Do you design booklets?
Yes, including multi-page layout. Quoted per job, not per hour.
What if my page count is not a multiple of four?
We will tell you the nearest workable counts and help you decide whether to trim or add.
Just Need a Folded Sheet?
